Surgical Options in Thailand

To many in the transgendered and transsexual communities, the cost of surgery is a serious impediment to the realization of their goals for their own physical reality. While it is widely known that there are surgical options out of the country, relatively few have detailed knowledge of what is required other than an airplane ticket, and what to expect once getting there. This workshop is presented by a post-op with first hand knowledge of the doctors, hospitals, and logistics of everything from passports to the hospitals and surgeons. This workshop covers general knowledge about traveling abroad as what is known as medical tourist including medical visas, length of stay, surgeons and the difference in their offerings, hospital quality, and the difficulties and how to overcome them in having medical procedures done in a country where English is not the native language. It also covers specific information about having surgical procedures in Thailand with several of the leading plastic and reconstructive surgeons practicing currently in the Bangkok metropolitan area with specific advice on how to maximize your dollars, minimize your risk, and achieve surgical results that otherwise you thought you might not be able to afford for years to come. This workshop takes the mystery out of travel internationally for surgery and shows how easy, ordinary, and inexpensive it can be to get the procedures that are not insured here done for a reasonable cost, while simultaneously enjoying exposure to a new and different culture on the other side of the planet.
