Richard Stephens

By day, Richard Stephens is the Port Angeles Downtown Advertising Rep for the Peninsula Daily News -- being able to cover most of his territory on foot, he jokes this makes him a lying streetwalker! Richard is actively involved in the local theater scene as an actor, director and resident costume designer for the Port Angeles Light Opera Association. Richard will also be one of the docent guides for the two Art on the Town walking tours during the conference.

Commercial Pattern Alteration: Scaling up for the Larger Figure

This introductory workshop will explain basic principles of scaling up commercial patterns to fit larger bodies. Course will also include how to create a simple body double for making fitted garments, how to make a practical "muslin" pattern, fitting watchpoints and pattern analysis for different body shapes to get the most flattering look.
