May 12, 2007: Aaron Raz Link, co-author of "What Becomes You" will be in the Registration Area signing and selling his book. He will be on site from late Thursday through Saturday afternoon. May 11, 2007: Tuesday evening schedule slightly modified. The Esprit Ascot starts at 7:30 and now allows time for adding DJ Dance Music to finish off the evening. May 11, 2007: Meet the ladies at the Gottschalks makeup counter. Laure Olson will present two makeup classes at different times during the week and in-store appointments are gladly accepted by the entire team. May 11, 2007: Costco joins Esprit for the first time in 2007! Costco will be giving makeup demonstrations for their line of makeup products in the Resource Mall. May 11, 2007: Fashion Bug announces special Esprit sale prices and hours for Sunday, May 13 from 6PM-9PM. $10 off most purchases of $25 or more, 25% off bare tops, buy 1 get 1 half off on bras and shoes, 30% capris/bermudas/shorts, $5 off entire stock of Keds, $39.99 on all Skechers, up to 40% off on handbags, 25% off swimwear. Sunday 5/20 is a 40% off sale so get more on your way out of town! May 5, 2007: Mail-in registration is closed. If space permits, you may register at the door.You will need to bring cash to the Esprit Registration Desk to complete your registration. May 5, 2007: The corrected schedule shows Saturday graduation at the historic Elks (in a rare arrangement, Esprit is allowed to use one of their most hallowed halls). All other Saturday cocktails, meals, and entertainment are at the Red Lion. April 30, 2007: Victoria High Tea trip details, prices, and travel requirements have been posted. The local Red Lion High Tea features antique china donated by KD Antiques of Port Angeles. April 30, 2007: [Reminder: cash and checks only. Sorry, no credit cards.] Two lovely ladies from Port Angeles return again to Esprit this year to provide nail services. Contact Kellie Spradlin or Debbie Bowers to make your on-site appointment. April 30, 2007: SO Program class details have been added to Dotti Berry's biography and the master schedule. If exercise and something other than hanging out in a bar or dancing is more your speed, the SO Program offers morning walks and mellow Chick Flick movie nights open to all. A summary of all presenter bios and courses is on the biographies page. Minor corrections and additional descriptions will be added to the schedule and biographies as they come in. April 13, 2007: Details on the Monday tour to scenic Hurricane Ridge have been posted. The trip begins in the morning this year and it should be possible to see wildlife out for their morning feedings. April 4, 2007: The Thursday Art Extravaganza is a special event that includes a guided art tour of outdoor art presented by a local artist and wine and cheese receptions at nearby art galleries. April 2, 2007: Donna Rose, the nationally recognized author, speaker, and advocate for transgender and transsexual issues, will be the keynote speaker at the Saturday luncheon. March 31, 2007: The Seattle band Free Rain will provide entertainment at the Saturday Mardi Gras gala. March 31, 2007: Calling all volunteers! Want to meet lots of people and help the cause at the same time? We need meal entrance checkers, "Vanna" girls for auctions and raffles, smiling faces to greet newcomers and make badges at the Registration Desk, and more. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you can spare even a little time. It doesn't take much, and the rewards are indescribable! March 17, 2007: Karen Sistek Studio and Fiber Arts Gallery join to give you a chance to paint your own silk scarf. Create a masterpiece with friends and refreshments. March 17, 2007: The talent show is planning a big production number. If you want to be involved with the show, be ready to set aside some time on Thursday afternoon for rehearsal and contact Debra Darling with your shoe size (it's your chance to be a Rockette and walk away with a memento). See the Talent Show page for details. March 17, 2007: Port Angeles has a variety of public art works ranging from historical murals to modern sculptures. Docents from the city's art community will lead a walking tour of these works. New girls are encouraged to try the Tuesday tour and a Thursday tour is open to all. See the schedule for details. March 7, 2007: The 2006 yearbooks have been mailed to everyone who attended last year. The Testimonials tell how this gem revives fond memories of Esprit. March 4, 2007: Updates to the 2006 Press page include a majority of writers to the local paper voicing support for the county's proclamation in support of GLBT Pride month. March 4, 2007: Local businesses are signing on to show support and to welcome Esprit to Port Angeles. See the banner page for ongoing additions. March 4, 2007: The Hospitality Suite will whisk you back to glamourous old Hollywood. Be sure to drop in. February 1, 2007: Our Resources, consisting of skilled and friendly service providers and instructors, are signing up fast. We already have Dr. Meltzer, Dr. Lawrence, Ann Grogan of Romantasy Corsets, movie makeup artist extraordinaire Christina Fletcher, and more! Local nail technicians from Port Angeles have eagerly requested to join us again this year as well. This list will grow quickly as May approaches. January 13, 2007: Registration and Scholarship applications are open! January 6, 2007: The Port Angeles Community Players again present a private show just for us. This year it is the popular comedy "Whose Wives are They, Anyway?" on Wednesday night. October 30, 2006: Tuesday brings us an exciting night at the races. It's the Esprit Ascot and your chance to both watch and partake in the horses and the high fashion. October 8, 2006: The theme for Friday's Talent Show is "Esprit Does (it the) Broadway." Start thinking about those acts and get in touch with our talent show coordinator. August 9, 2006: Press page updated with articles from 2006.
